Resin Gravel Driveway, Carshalton Beeches
The block paved driveway of Carlos and Siobhan’s semi-detached home in Carshalton Beeches had become warped over the years, making it unsightly and a potential hazard.
The couple wanted a driveway that was simple and elegant, but most importantly level with minimal maintenance. Hearing that we were experts with resin bound gravel driveways they came to us convinced we were perfect for the job.
When we visited them for a free estimate they made clear the problems with the old driveway, and were pleased to hear that we would also remove the unwanted vegetation surrounding the driveway (creating storage space for their bins).
Furthermore we would deal with the “useless” drainage trough at the border between the drive and the pavement. The recessed drains currently on the driveway would be incorporated into the new resin bound gravel driveway.
We assured the couple that with a proper layered foundation the resin bound gravel would remain level and seamless, and require only minimal maintenance.
We set to work removing the block paving and the shrubs before levelling the foundation, installing block edging bricks, applying layers of hardcore and tarmac and then applying the resin bound gravel itself.
The new resin bound gravel driveway is smooth, seamless and much less crowded.
