Block Paved Driveway and Landscaping, Oxshott
We’d worked twice before for Adam and Sue at their previous home in Croydon, so when they called us in to landscape their new home in Oxshott, Surrey, we were very happy to see them again.
They’d recently bought and refurbished this lovely 1930s detached house with extensive grounds in Oxshott, and asked us to design and build a landscaping scheme that was in keeping with the early 20th century style of the house.
After a few meetings, the couple chose a modern block paved driveway which would pair elegantly with the more rustic look planned for the garden landscaping.
We first focused replacing the old driveway which was prone to flooding, so we first excavated the area and laid in a deep, easy-draining base, so that the final block paved surface was fully permeable. This keeps within SuDS regulations and ensures that the drive won’t puddle or sink over time.
The silver grey tegula block paving was then carefully laid and with the driveway complete we were free to focus on the patios, pathways and landscaping in the garden.
The finished driveway and new front steps have given a modern appeal to Adam and Sue’s new home, and will last for years to come.
