Newlyweds Leo and Jared had recently moved into their first property, a semi-detached house in Tolworth within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. They love the house, but the driveway was worn and overgrown. They came to us wanting their driveway transformed into something straightforward and elegant with a traditional touch.
After visiting them for a free estimate they were taken with the idea of using clay pavers to create a simple but stylish main pathway bisecting the driveway, which would be rendered in warm gold resin bound gravel. This would match the traditional aesthetic they wanted to nod to whilst also being modern and low maintenance.
After excavating the old concrete driveway clearing the unwanted shrubs our team set to work on creating the clay pavers path and front step, even extending the use of the pavers as block edging for the driveway, giving it a sharp outline.
The foundation for the rest of the driveway was then installed, first with hardcore, then tarmac and finally a coat of soft golden resin-bound gravel.
The use of clay pavers has added flair and style to the driveway without compromising upkeep and has left Leo and Jared with a front drive they can be proud of.
