Porcelain Patio, Worcester Park

Johnathan lives with his family in a modern home in Worcester Park, Southwest London. As a keen gardener, Johnathan wanted to install a new porcelain patio in their back garden to really set off their planting scheme.

During our free consultation visit, Johnathan explained that while the existing patio was in good condition, it was quite small and didn’t really add to the aesthetic of the outside space. The family enjoyed the garden, which was laid to lawn with mature, well-maintained beds and borders. We suggested extending the patio to an existing flower bed and using porcelain paving, which would add contrast.

We marked out the new patio and paths to extend to an existing flower bed in the middle of the lawn. Johnathan was keen to preserve the existing planting scheme, so as we removed the old patio and excess lawn, we were careful not to disturb the established plants. After laying hardcore and levelling the surface, we laid the new porcelain patio pavers.

The contemporary porcelain patio finish looks stunning against the statement mature planting of hydrangeas and globe thistles, adding a modern feel.

Johnathan and his family are delighted with their upgraded porcelain patio – they have a lot more space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
