Harrison and Margot got in touch with us to transform their garden patio as the final part of a larger project to extend their family home in Kingswood, Surrey, and to unify their garden spaces.
The main task was the replacement of the large curved patio area, which the couple felt was outdated and fitted awkwardly with the new extension. Additionally new pathways were to be installed, connecting the two separate garden areas with the patio space in between.
Both paths and patio would be created with high quality porcelain slabs, and include contrasting block edging, giving a more cohesive look than the old patio and pathways as well as additional durability.
Our team began by deconstructing the old raised patio area and removing vegetation, which would allow them to start moving the earth and create a strong and lasting sub-base for the porcelain patio.
The new steps run the width of the patio, meaning no need for obstructive railings and joining the patio neatly with the house, extension and garden. Furthermore the sheltered patio and side garden path was also replaced with new porcelain slabs and block edging, creating a single cohesive path around the property, starting at the conservatory and leading into the main garden.
Harrison, Margot and the family are overjoyed with the new patio and pathways, giving them a larger and easily accessible outdoor space and beautifully bringing together all the parts of their varied garden and home.
