Resin Driveway in Sutton
Andy’s terraced home in Sutton, South London had a saggy old block driveway with a tarmac path and needed a complete revamp, so we suggested a new resin driveway to unify the space.
The original driveway was constructed from block paving with a tarmac pathway. When we inspected the whole area during our consultation meeting, it was clear that the driveway was uneven and discoloured, which was making the front of the house look untidy. We agreed on a resin driveway across the whole site – including an area outside the neighbour’s entrance to work with the shared steps into the two properties.
Our first job was to lift and remove the tarmac and block paving from the site. We then laid retaining slabs around the whole area to contain the driveway materials, before levelling the site and laying a suitable sub-base. We laid a dark grey edging strip around the perimeter with block paving, and finally laid the gravel resin driveway itself.
Andy is delighted with the look of his new resin driveway in Sutton – not only does it look great, it’s also easier to park on the solid, level surface.
