Resin Drive and Pathways Merton
Sian was unhappy with her worn down and messy loose gravel driveway and path. She called us for advice on how to neaten her front garden and drive whilst retaining the original look.
Sian’s 1960s semi-detached house in Merton, still had its neat front lawn, but the gravel pathway and drive were no longer fit for purpose, having worn down over the years. She called us seeking something permanent that would keep with the style of her home. We came to agree on using resin bonded gravel for both the drive and pathways, as well as for the enclosed space to the side of the property. Sian was keen to cut costs by retaining some features, such as the border paving, and was pleased that we were able to accommodate her in this whilst still delivering a high quality result.
We began by digging out the old gravel drive and pathways, then evening the foundation with hardcore and installing a recessed drain. We also built a new retaining wall between the driveway and the neighbouring property so as to ensure the new resin gravel drive did not suffer from the change in gradient. The tarmac layer was they laid down and after it the resin bonded gravel, which blended perfectly with the retained bordering and bricks as well as those newly installed.
Sian was totally satisfied with her new resin bonded drive and pathways, she had tidy, even and permanent resurfacing exactly as she had specified.
