Porcelain Patio Mitcham
Sam and Kalvin were not ones for much gardening at their Mitcham home, but they loved to host and wanted to rejuvenate their back garden for BBQ’s and and family gatherings. They wanted a straight-forward resurfacing of their garden so they could furnish it as they pleased.
When we visited for a free consultation they discussed how they would use the space, and together we envisioned two separate areas of porcelain patio, one by the house and side-gate and another at the back of the garden with a path connecting the two. Sam and Kalvin desired porcelain tiles due to their durability, resistance to fading and ease of cleaning and maintenance. They had some concerns about the unusual shape of the back of their garden, but were assured that we could cut the tiles to elegantly fill the space with gravel bordering.
We began the transformation by digging out the old turf and block paving before levelling the foundation. We laid down border bricks between where the porcelain patio tiles and the turf would be before installing the tiles and lawn themselves. We also fitted a recessed drain discretely into the tile work as well as threshold drains bordering the house itself.
Sam and Kalvin are more than satisfied with their new patio and lawns, now having a garden space ready to personalise as well as host friends and family.
