Porcelain Patio and Barbecue Kenley

Shane and Kelly were dissatisfied with their old concrete patio and paths in their back garden. The surface had become uneven and was unsuitable for furniture let alone hosting a barbecue. 

When we visited them for a free estimation they were keen to hear how we could transform the space into something stable, long-lasting and elegant. Though they considered alternatives, they were impressed with the glossy look and durability of porcelain tiles, and were pleased to select from a palette that matched their home and garden from a range of design options. They were also happy to hear that the tiles were easy to maintain, ensuring their appeal for years to come.

The couple were particularly curious to see if we could also install a custom brick barbecue at the far end of the new patio. This was certainly something in our wheelhouse, and we were happy to oblige them in making a brick structure with a chimney vent to house the barbecue itself.

After digging out the old concrete around the back of the house we levelled the foundations and laid down hardcore ready for the porcelain patio and brick edging. We began building the brick barbecue before the patio tiles were installed so as to give it the same firm foundations as the patio itself. We were also able to carefully cut the tiles to incorporate the awkward semi-hexagonal structure at the corner of the home, allowing the new path connecting both patio spaces to flow seamlessly around the side of the building.

Shane and Kelly are overjoyed with the result which has transformed their garden and given it a new lease of life. They look forward to furnishing the area and hosting barbecues with ease and style.
