Kamal lives in Sutton, South London. He contacted us to give his back garden a complete upgrade with a new patio, turfing, landscaping, and fencing.

We appraised Kamal’s garden during our free consultation visit and agreed with him that a complete overhaul was the best way forward. He had big plans for his outside space, including a new summerhouse, smart new patio area, walled lawn, high quality fencing, and stone steps laid within the lawn to accommodate the natural slope of the plot.

Kamal’s existing lawn was worn and the soil very compacted so it would be difficult to establish a new one from seed. The end of the garden was raised and had a worn path and the remains of an old veg patch that was overrun with weeds. We began by clearing all the plants, paths, and steps from the site. Once we had a blank slate to work with, we levelled the ground and laid a new retaining wall and Indian Sandstone steps between the new Indian Sandstone patio and lawn.

We also laid a concrete base at the end of the garden for a future summer house and built a second set of stone steps with the lawn that would lead to the summer house. We also replaced the worn-out fence.

Kamal is delighted with his new patio, turfing, newly landscaped garden, and fencing, and is excited at the prospect of spending time in his smart new outside space.
