Adam lives in Morden, in the London Borough of Merton. Currently dominated by overhanging trees and a large trampoline, his outside space needed a new patio and garden landscaping so that all the family could enjoy it in safety.

During our free consultation visit, Adam explained that the garden needed to be safe for his children to play and provide areas for plants and a space for adult seating. He also wanted more light in the space to sit and enjoy the sunshine. We suggested cutting back the overhanging trees, which would open up the garden to allow plenty of room for a dedicated children’s play area, new lawn and well-stocked garden borders, all which could be enjoyed from the new patio near the house.

Our first job was to prepare the site, which in this case meant cutting back the neighbours’ trees to the boundary and clearing the existing lawn. We ensured the site was level, before installing new fencing and a children’s play area using play safe bark. We replaced the old patio with new Indian Sandstone and brought the whole scheme together by laying paths in the same material. Finally, we laid new turf and planted the borders with an array of flowering shrubs and perennials.

Adam is delighted with the patio and general garden landscaping and, in his words, now has the garden of his dreams.
