Our client’s sunny garden in Ewell, Surrey needed an upgrade. The owners were happy with the layout, but wanted the lawn area turfing, with general garden landscaping around the perimeter.

During the free consultation meeting, our client made it clear that they wanted to retain the large lawn and have borders for planting. We suggested that given the problems with the current lawn and beds, the fastest way to upgrade the space was to take up the existing lawn and plants and start again. This would enable us to level the surface and apply a rich topsoil layer, ensuring the new turf and plants will establish quickly.

As with any turfing or garden landscaping job, it’s essential to prepare the site properly so that the garden stays looking good year on year. Our first task was to completely clear the site of plants, turf, and weeds before levelling the whole plot. Once we were satisfied that the groundwork had been done, we added good quality topsoil to the borders and laid turf that’s suitable for this sunny garden.

Our client is truly delighted with the transformation and now has the perfect starting point to add planting that really makes the garden their own.
