Raised Indian Sandstone Patio & Landscaping Raynes Park
Stephan lives in Raynes Park in the London Borough of Merton. His back garden needed a good deal of TLC, so he called us to talk about a new Indian sandstone patio and for general landscaping advice.
During his free consultation meeting, we talked about what he would like to use the garden space for. He wanted a raised patio area that would catch the sunshine and which was easy to access and maintain. We suggested a small planting area in the back corner and a corner pergola to provide some shade.
Once the plans were agreed, we set to work. The back of the garden contained old wooden planting beds and an old slab patio which had certainly seen better days. The first job was to clear those out. Access to the garden was not as easy as it could be, so we dug out the rear section and reused the old patio as hardcore for the new one.
Then we built the retaining walls and steps and laid the Indian sandstone patio slabs, before finishing the project with a new timber corner pergola.
Stephan is delighted with his finished Indian Sandstone patio – he says it has transformed his garden and will add the the value of his home.
